Aaaaaaarg. Please stop No more prototypes.
I am a strange duck and actually use my
GEC's. I do not want to buy a proto to use when the collectors hunger for them. Why am I now hungry ??? Haha

I feel your pain....  If it'll make you feel any better, let me try to explain the method to my madness.

Since I started dabbling in the GEC's a unique phenomenon takes place every December/January.  Collectors start looking back 2-3 years and pick up knives they've missed, overlooked or just discovered.  I think it's that awareness that another year is passing by and 'last years' knife is now a couple of years old.  So, when I get the chance to pick up older knives in a group, I try to grab them.

I also deal with an elite (as in small) group of collectors that like the Prototypes.  The most common problem enticing Proto collectors to part with their money is normally associated with price.  Typically, the older Prototype knives have a lower price.  (Now, that's starting to change as they age and the 'choice' pieces are getting harder to find.)   And a really key attraction of this group of Proto's were all of the Stags.  If you've paid any attention to Prototypes in the last couple of years, it's been very rare that you'd see any stag come up for sale.

So here I am.... a large group of older prototypes that are priced right with some extremely desirable pieces in the lot.  What am I gonna do????  Now, what really put the icing on the cake was a group of 30-40 non-protos are offered from another source in some really great handle materials AND they're primarily older knives as well.  THEN....two more smaller lots come available and I'm suddenly awash in some of the finest collectible GEC's I've ever had all at one time.

So I'm gonna let you drool on your keyboard for a few more days and just about the time you think you're back in control again....I'm gonna get ya droolin' ALLL over again!!!!  And hopefully, you'll see some really desirable pieces offered for sale.
