There's a new #61 Deluxe in the works!!!
Latest news is that there's a new #61 Deluxe in the planning stages. No details yet, but it sounds like we're probably not going to see it until sometime in November.
Now what do you suppose "Deluxe" means.......hmmmmmmmm

Could it be something as simply as a pen and coping small blade and a wharncliffe and spear large blade...maybe inlaid like a previous muskrat or damascus blades...

A remake of the Remington Congress Jack "Remington R423 pattern "

I like the way you think Jim. That Rem looks great. Whatever they do, I'm hoping it's only two blades. A stainless wharncliffe would be nice.

a 61 with Four blades... clip, wharncliffe, small spay, and small sheep foot

I was thinking it might have a spear and sheepfoot, with smaller pen and coping blades. Probably some fancier bolsters as well.

I like your blade choices.

Engraved bolsters?

I did a quick search for Congress Deluxe. Found some models that have 4 larger blades kinda like the Cuban Castro..............also saw file work and a 'middle' bolster on a few. Of course they were all RR's........lets hope that is NOT where the inspiration came from, LOL. I am guessing 4 blade rather than 2, justs sounds more 'Deluxe'.

I think I saw some bolster dies in the "What's Happening Today" pictures, suggesting that the #61 deluxe might have longer bolsters.

Interesting........ Could you tell if they were lined??

It is very hard to make out, but it looks like there are not any lines. There might be a pattern of some sort though that would get coined into the top of the bolster.
