Thanks for that comparison. That is going to be a sheath only type of knife for me.
I will be holding out for the stag. Hopefully, Dave makes some stag versions of his sheath for this pattern.
Is there any chance to have him make the sheaths for this beast with a snap closure flap over the top instead of the open top version he did for the Sunfish?
Thought I would put that idea out there before the wheels get moving for the sheaths.

I don't think a flap version will be offered right away. One of the problems is by the time you get a choice of left hand, right hand carry, color, belt width, to add on open top or flap top.... the options kinda get out of hand. There is a good possibility a bone option and a stag option could be offered. Have to check with 'the man' once he gets the knife!!

NOW THAT IS ONE HUNK OF A KNIFE...
thank you for the comparison...it has the body of a sunsih swell...but the blade of a beast!
fatty stag or a big hunky chunk of deeply jigged bone would indeed rock!

I appreciate the comparison Greg, did not have enough knives with me in the room to do this up as well as you did. This is an awesome knife that honors the original pattern very well
