Pink Awabi Shell??
What the heck are Awabi's and where do they live? Can one eat them?
Perhaps they come from somewhere on Spring Street in Titusville, PA??
Gotta get a look at this one!!

You don't suppose "Pink Awabi Shell" is going to be something like the Shmoos in the "Lil Abner" comic strip way back....., well back when I was a little feller?
Anyone remember the Shmoos?
Morrie, how about you?

Steve, you got it dead on about the Schmoos! Congrats!
Morrie, keep thinking back. You'll remember. Little white creatures that were everywhere, did everything and were good to eat.

Yep, that was a cool comic strip.
"Pogo" was another of my favorites.
Maybe I liked them because they were as"different" as I am!! LOL.
Anyway, John set us straight on the Pink Awabi. Real critters after all!

Now that is way Cool!!
I had a couple myself, but lost them along life's way somewhere.
Actually, I'm surprised so many of us remember them!
I'm glad you still have one!

My memories of Lil Abner are most fondly associated with the Sadie Hawkin's Day dances we had in High School. That was the highpoint of the Thanksgiving break every year.

It's a high quality Abalone shell from Asia. there are also some similar in the region of New Zealand. Case uses it on some of their stuff...

Hey thanks John!
So Awabi's are real abalones, and the Awabi Shell handle material should be very attractive. Something to look forward to.
I like any kind of Abalone Shell. Got one of the #61 Congress knives from Greg awhile back in LVS Green Abalone and it is one beautiful knife!
Sounds like you've, "been there, done that", with Abalone. I learned something. Thanks!

So, do we even know what it's gonna be yet? Small Ben Hogan? Gambler's Dirk? Prostitute's Shiv?

Jan says it's going to be a #28 pattern, so apparently this will be something brand new.
(Jan has this crystal ball she keeps hid in her purse.....).
