Templar going to be a 'hot' collectible?
Okay, so the opinions are a bit mixed. My gut feeling is this could be one of those knives that gets run once and that's it. I don't see a change up in blades or any major variations made to the initial pattern.
The real question for collectors, is it going to be a hot collectible?

i think the problem with this pattern, from a collectible point of view, is its polarizing design - you either love it or hate it. these "oddball" patterns will get snapped up by the folks who like them, but the secondary (resale) market just won't be there. the german-made "barn door" toothpick pattern jumps to mind, due to their obvious similarities with the templar. i'm sure they sold a few when they first came out, but now you couldn't give them away if they had dollar bills taped to them.

Just saw the pictures of the templars up on the GEC website. You know, the templar is starting to grow on me. I really like the etch that they put on the blade. I bet it is nice and thin in the pocket as well.

Roy, all of the Templars should be on the way to the distributors by tomorrow. With luck we'll see a picture of the new label which is supposed to be pretty cool looking. Prices will be in $62-63 range.
