In a word, cool.  The hawkbill doesn't have as severe a hook as some anticipated.  It's not as hooked as most pruning hooks and looks to me like a really practical blade.  The EZ Open is definitely and easy opening knife with plenty of blade sticking up to grab hold of.  It's kind of a cross between a small cotton sampler and a sheepsfoot.  AND they are definitely 'pocketbook friendly'!!!
