New Color Announced for the 66 Calf Roper's

There is an "unknown" jigged bone coming through on the Northfield 66's and I just found out this morning it'll be called Indian Choffee Jigged Bone.  That's not a mispelling, it is Choffee.  Sounds like it'll be another one of those colors like the recent Purple Sage that doesn't photograph worth a hoot, but has a lot of color when you move it through light.

It's really unfortunate that some of the colors, by their nature, just don't photograph well.  More than once I've seen a new release come out that sat on the shelf with little interest in it.  The one's that really get neglected are the deep greens, purple and blues.  So many times they show up as almost being black.  One of the shortcomings of marketing/buying on the internet I guess!!!

Sounds interesting. I know what you mean by the colors on the net. The spring green dogleg jack looks black but is a great color when held in person.

That's another good example.  So many of those dark colors end up having character that only comes out when you have them in hand and can roll them around in the sunlight.

    Off Topic a little
I was waiting for Greg to show a little love on the new Yellow Rose Stockmen.
I love the color and the slanted bolsters. I just assumed they were in the mail somewhere. Just for the heck of it I checked the main page for stockmen. YIKES. They are in. I now own serial #3 One of those cases where I forgot to ask Greg to hold one for me BUT it was still available. Thank you thank you
