Hi Greg,
Thanks for the invite. Courthouse Whittler? My guess, based off the new conductor pattern?

Courthouse whittler? How about a medium frame sleeve board--that's been a popular frame in the past.
GEC likes to keep us all guessing.

A Sleeveboard....Yes! I could go for a sleeveboard whittler in the 3.50 inch to 3.75" long range.
At the rate GEC is putting out new patterns, we just might see one of these some day.

The name "Courthouse Whittler" came about this way:In most small towns, especially in the South, the Courthouse is the center of town. Both literally and figurativley. Back in the DAY,the local men, loafers, farmers in town for the day,and such would hang around the Courthouse lawn, steps,or the general Courthouse vicinity, thats where any action would be. They would gossip, argue, exchange local news stories and,of course, whittle.Because you were"In Town" you didn't have a honkin' big skinnin knife, you had a whittler version of a "Go to Meetin" knife.Hence the name"Courthouse Whittler". Even in the Old Days, you didn't whittle IN Court!

Anyone have one of the color pictures the NKCA published a few years back entitled "The Courthouse Whittler"?
We have one on display in our local knife shop here. Would post a picture if I could.
Man, that's been awhile back!
