The 33's are here and here's a quick review.
I finally got the #33 Conductors listed in the store this morning and if you've (Morrie) been waiting on a smaller pocket knife, this one's a keeper. I spent a lot of time last nite looking one over and here's the details. I chose to compare it to the #89 Gambler which is probably the slimmest profile in a two blade to compare with.

Measuring the height of the end caps, the #89 Gambler is approximately .471" tall compared to the #33 Conductor at .452" The thickness of the bolster on the #89 is .443" compared to .40" on the Conductor. Even with the swell center, the Conductor is one slim little jewel.

I was really tempted to start carrying one of the Conductors, until it dawned on me that it's not gonna be long and we'll see a single blade version of this pattern. When I look at how much they can slim down that blade if they don't need room for the Pen blade, this is gonna be a really sleek little knife.
Try as I might, the only thing I could find not to like was the super sharp corners exposed on each blade when it's closed.

I know that's just the way it is on a folding knife, and it's a problem easily 'cured' with some judicious stoning. By the way, this is something that virtually anyone can take care of on their own but here's a couple of tips. First, I really recommend using a super fine stone rather than a file to avoid leaving any file marks. Second, use some duct tape or masking tape to protect the liners or bolsters from any damage. It only takes a couple of swipes with a fine stone and the sharp edge can be tamed. If you're not comfortable doing it on your own, check with your local gunsmith or neighborhood jeweler and I'm sure they'll take care of you for the cost of a cup of coffee and a few minutes of their time.

This is one pattern that's definitely going to be used by me, but I'm holding out for the single blade to get the slimmest profile possible. Job well done yet again GEC!!!

Hi Greg,
While we're on the subject of the #33,
check out the bottom of page 83 of David Anthony's book !!!! It's a spiting image !!!!!!!

I'll be damned!!! Maybe the Anthony book is kind of like a Rosetta Stone and we should be looking for clues to the 'future' in there! Thanks for pointing that out.

Greg,
The "BOOK" said nothing about a single blade #33?????????? I spent all my money on the "fat" two bladers ????
Is it 440C ????????

I'd like to see the run-up of the blades sunk into the frame more (like their 62 pattern), but otherwise I like it. Had no idea a single blade was in the works.

The single blade 33 is purely conjecture on my part. I'll be surprised if we don't see one at sometime in the future based on what we've seen GEC do with other patterns in the past.

That will give Morrie time to save up again. He deserves his "perfect" knife.
