Too many to fast????? whoa....
Let me tell you what's on the way in the next few weeks, understanding the numbers on some of these are 'projection's and not necessarily hard numbers. Also, I was writing as fast as I could, but I think this is pretty close to accurate.

Well, I can see I'm going to have to send my daughter out to work the street.
(Good plan, but being as I don't have a daughter I will have to devise another money making scheme).
Life is hard....
So many great knives. So little money.

Dave,
Donnie says get a dress...Dont worry I will remind him of that at some point when wants more knives and work is slow. Just sell a few more customs. Have them make the check out to TSA knives, we'll be ok my friend!

Dave, life is really HARD !!!!!!!!!!!!
I was thinking about Cashing in my Life Insurance polices. Or, breaking into homes in the area. Or, highjacking boats out in Puget Sound. Or, I don't know what, however I must do something!!

Morrie, we gotta do what we gotta do.
I like your idea of breaking into homes, and the boat thing sounds fun as well as profitable. If that new #33 pattern turns out to by YOUR knife you're gonna be busy up there.
Jan, the dress thing just wouldn't work. I doubt I would make much money. Maybe if Donnie and I were to go out and work a "two for one" together we might find some "business", but I still like Morrie's ideas better.
Isn't it about Girl Scout Cookie time of year? Lots of Scouts out there with $$$..... Heh, heh, heh...

I'd be real careful. Some of those Girl Scouts have mums that are great believers in Conceal Carry up here.

Back to the "drawing board"......
I still like Morrie's idea on the boats.
Sounds like a real "guy thing", but I've got a couple of ex-wives who taught me a thing or two about piracy and looting.

Dave,
2 for 1 sale, I like that idea. Morrie might have the right idea with the boats. You could really have a ball if you check the registration first and be sure its an EX that got his boat. Donnie says take Kayaks and conoes, at least you dont have to worry about gas.
Steve,
Your absolutley correct, it is just good business. I am very impressed though that even with the amount of production, GEC has made sure over the last few years to keep the run numbers low enough to allow everyone to have "special" knives. They have proven a knife company can be "production" and not have to produce 5000 of the exact same knife.

I have to admit, those low numbered runs make them all tempting

wow, that's a pretty exciting list.
will those northfield 53s have slanted blosters?

Not 100% sure. Gary, do you recall???

Too Many to Fast???
You betcha.
But GEC has to do what they have to do in order to grow their business. And they seem to be doing great, when other cutlery businesses are either struggling or doa. With limited runs of 25 to 50, it seems to me that it's gonna take a lot of releases to meet payroll. It's a business, folks.
However, for me personally, this is becoming increasingly tough on the wallet and I've already made several adjustments to my GEC collecting goals. I guess I'll just keep adjusting.
For instance, I'm interested in short runs. This will be GECs third (at least) change in the how they handle short runs. My guess is that I'll not be able to collect them much longer.
Also I'm having to pass on knives I'd like to buy...just not enough dough. And missed out (by one) on filling out my collection of 62s....the genuine stags sold out by the time my finances caught up...too many, too fast.
I do hope that GEC will eventually settle into some sort of predictable production pattern and I believe they are moving in that direction. It willl make planning purchases a bit easier for me.
So who's complaining. If only I could make money as fast and as well as they make knives.

as for the "too many" question... i only buy northfields, and i don't collect 23s or 73s, so that helps a lot right off the bat.
in fact, there are only two knives on the list you posted that i'm interested in.
so, i don't mind this level of output at all.
i say, "bring 'em on!"

Wow, it's great to see that they are remaking a lot of the patterns many of us requested.
I'm very happy to see the northfield 53 stockman in genuine stag, count me in for one, or if supply is plentiful, two.
