What would you like to see GEC ReRun.. You spoke..
Great Eastern listened.
I had more than a few personal emails sent to me that said you wished Great Eastern would make another run of this that and the other. Believe I told all of you to put your comments in writing and post them on the blog with good reason. The good folks at Great Eastern read this blog and other boards and really do pay attention to what your interested in.
As a result of your comments, there's a whole bunch of oldies but goodies were gonna see in the next month. Here's a teaser to think about....

As a result of your comments, there's a whole bunch of oldies but goodies were gonna see in the next month. Here's a teaser to think about....
- 36 Double pull Sunfish (not gonna be a lot!!!) in a rough Grizzly Cut Crimson Bone
- The new Ben Hogans
- 2 blade and single blade 23's (maybe including a Jigged Brazilian Cherry)
- 23 Single Blade Glitter Gold
- 23 Black Plum (great color)
- 23 2 blade Primtive Bone
- 56 Tidioute & Northfields with Spear/Pen, Glitter Gold, Ebony Wood, Bone, Burnt Stag

Great. Just great.
Another month of nothing but macaroni and cheese while I save up for some of those #23s.
Oh I'm not complaining! Nope, no way!!
Looking forward to some good ones!
Who'd of thought this would actually happen?! Good for GEC!

I was starting to feel kinda bad.....
I could just envision Dave out in the desert roasting a gopher over a campfire wearing a pair of worn out deerskin britches. Behind him is a huge safe leaning against a cactus with GEC knives rolling out the door. But then, if I look again, I can't help but notice he's got a big old grin on his face that goes from ear to ear. And then I don't feel so bad for him anymore.

Man, you been readin' my mail! That's a pretty acurate picture.
Gophers, being vegetarians, are a fair substitute for rabbits but it does require more of them to make a decent meal. I found the deerskin britches to be hot in summer and cold in winter so went back to my Wranglers awhile ago.
I have a great little Honda generator in the back of the pickup that powers my laptop so I can keep up with what's new at GEC and order more knives from TSA.
I pick up the new orders once a week when I go to town for supplies, then bring the knives back out to camp and put them to work.
As you envisioned, there's a lot to smile about. Life's good!

Always enjoy throwing another 'log on the fire'!!
Read your post regarding Mark's story. Wasn't that cool?
I feel so lucky that I've had the opportunity to chat with people from all over the world with a common interest. Yesterday I chatted by email with a new customer in Japan, this morning I received a really nice email from a new customer in France. By the way, thanks to whomever referred the gentleman in Japan to TSA Knives on one of the boards. Much appreciated.

is it just my imagination, or did none of our requests make this list?
am i missing something?

Do you mean they didn't build exactly the combination's requested on the blog? Your right, none made it.
I guess I was happy in that they responded to the obvious popularity of the 23's. I think a 23 single blade in a Black Plum is pretty close to one that I'd mentioned. In fact, the number of 23's coming through is pretty impressive. Glitter Gold, Black Plum, a smooth Wood, Primitive Bone. Another run at the Sunfish is always welcome.
Based on the number of comments regarding the 53's I'd be surprised if we don't see another run of 53's sometime this year. Nothing says this is Great Eastern's single response to the entries. Will it be precisely what a couple of folks ask for? Doubtful. Will it be a combination of new and old ideas? Most likely.
Hope I didn't mislead you or anyone else into thinking that if 3 people said they wanted to see another Tidioute 73EC Chocolate Jigged Bone that would necessarily be exactly what we'd see. I'm just happy to see they responded by offering some familiar patterns that were popular and are willing to mix things up a bit.
