Large lot of GEC's on the way and I found some 'lost' knives!!
In the next few days I have a large lot of Great Eastern knives coming in. Chris said she's got a 'large' box packed up for me and I think there's close to 50 knives on the way. There will be the short run #50 and #60's, Cattle Ranchers and quite frankly, I'm not sure what else!!
Over the last year, I've been building the inventory of knives I have on hand and with this order, I'll have around 800 Great Eastern Knives in stock, ready to ship. In addition to the regular production run knives, whenever the opportunity arose, I've added in a lot of very short run knives. Some of them from runs of just 2 or 3 knives.
Which raises the point to make sure you check the "Current Inventory " page on our website. It's a quick and easy way to see exactly what's in stock, the serial numbers, approx. release dates, etc. Yesterday, I received a call from customer with an order for 4 knives. He found the knives on the Current Inventory list but couldn't find them in the storefront. To make a long story short, an error was made in the original listings and they 'self destructed' before they were sold. Some have been in the store but not listed for sale for almost a year. So starting today, I'm starting an audit to see how many more have been lost. It's going to take a while, but there will be some 'new' knives show up in the storefront.
