Final day to vote for the official Beaver name ( and a happy 4th of July!!!)
This is it! Today's the last day to submit your vote for the official name of the Great Eastern Cutlery Beaver. Not only has it been fun so far, it's been exciting!
Would you believe that as of 6:00 AM, July 3 (on the final day of voting), just 2 votes separate the first and second place choices. This 'get out the vote' drive in the last few days has indeed brought out the vote. As the old saying goes, if you don't think your vote counts, think again. Two votes!! In roughly 18 hours, history will be made. Betty Beaver or Christine will be a part of Cutlery History!!
How appropriate we're coming down to the end of the balloting on the eve of July 4th. As silly yet fun this whole thing has been, it'll maybe act as a simple reminder to all of us how lucky we are to live where we're at. We've all got the right to express our opinions in a civil manner. Win or lose, we all have the privilege of participating in the process. Even though the results might not always be to our liking, most importantly, we had the right to participate. We're truly part of the process. In the words of a superhero icon, "Truth, Justice and the American Way", that's what we strive for!!
So, if you've got any campaigning left in you, today's the day to wind it up. If you're 'campaigned out', that's totally understandable. Some of you put forth a noble effort and are to be commended. It's truly been fun.

Max, we're getting down to the wire now.
We've had a lot of fun with this and I have to say, you "almost" convinced me to cross over a couple of times with your excellent campaign paragraphs. But I know Christine is the RIGHT choice and I can't imagine letting her down.
We will soon know who won the race my Friend. "May the Best Beaver Win".
