Production Schedule for June/July 2010
Here's what's upcoming. The schedule should run through the end of June with the NEW Model #66 most likely coming around the first of July. The #66 is NOT a Sunfish as I'd previously stated. In fact, at this time, no one knows just exactly what a #66 will be.
My understanding is that the serialized runs on all of these knives will be limited to the first 25 pieces. Remember, nothing's chiseled in stone but the plans are to produce:
61 Congress 2 Blade (Sheepsfoot / Pen) Tidioute's

that 2-blade 89 ought to be a tidy little knife, since it'll not only lack the third blade, but also the spring-splitting wedge. the half congress should be sweet as well, although i really wish they'd make the master blade about 1/4" longer (there's more than enough room for a longer blade on that model).
i'm glad they're making these pocket-friendly two-bladers.
do you suppose this 66 model will be a six-bladed congress??
:-o

a 6 blade congress..... now that's a thought!!!

personally i would rather see them do an "end of the day" handle material like the fightin rooster stuff of the 80's or 90's. more so than a new pattern......anyone else?

I thought the 6-blade Muskrat was gonna be first!

Hey Stephan,
I'd be the first in line for a six or even a 4 bladed muskrat. I do have a couple 4 blades from that other knife company but would be great if GEC made one(no tango)!!

a 6 bladed muskrat...... oh no...... Now a 6 bladed Congress at least makes sense.

If a 4-bladed Muskrat is better than a 2-bladed one, then a 6-bladed one would be even better still!

The new variant on the Congress, well, Half Congress looks very nice indeed. My preference in this model would be bone rather than acrylic-although Tortoise would suit it very well indeed! Micarta would be good too.
Will this be a single spring pattern or double spring?
Greetings to all.

Good question. If they want to really slim it down the single would be nice, but I'm betting on a double.

The half Congress is out on the GEC new release page already.

Greg,
This Production Schedule is really great! It not only gives us all a peek at what we can expect from GEC in the next couple of months, but it also gives me a chance to "rat hole" some funds for something that catches my eye before I have to send it in.
(Now where did that Lady of mine hide those credit cards.........??)

It's fun to keep ahead of what's coming out. What makes it interesting though is when I screw up (like I did initially on the #66) or when GEC throws us a curve and changes a handle or adds one!!

The new 2 blade congress has one spring with double end.
