Great Eastern Cutlery's new #48 Dog Leg Trapper Specs!!

It's not a lot of info but here's what I can tell you.  Around the first of April, Great Eastern will be shipping the first of the new #48 Dog Leg Trapper's.  Here are the spec's:

  • 3.875" OAL Closed
  • Muskrat Style Clip Blade
  • Long Slim Spey Blade

The Tidioute's will have smooth bolsters and end caps.  The first Tidioute's will be available in an Acrylic, Jigged Bone, Bocote and a 2nd Cut Jigged Stag.  The Northfield's will follow with plain end caps, lined bolsters and no doubt, Burnt Stag.

I would love to see this new pattern with a slightly smaller secondary blade as sheepsfoot or Wharnecliff. Will probable get one anyway!

Well, maybe the pattern will lend itself well to variation like the #73 has: single blade, double blades, jack versions, linerlock, etc.

My only complaint with the GEC knives is there are way too many cool knives for my knife budget.
