Revised Whittler and a Furtaker "Beaver Series" Jigged Wood Coming Soon!!
In the next couple of weeks, GEC will be shipping a couple of modified patterns. The first is a 541308 Whittler in a jigged bone called Cobblestone. While previous whittlers had the master between the other two blades, this knife will have the master blade on the outside.
The second interesting release is a 53 Furtaker with a Furtaker and a Clip blade that will be part of series called the "Beaver Series". It's going to feature a jigged wood handle. The first one's will be jigged Wenge wood. The handle will have a new "Beaver Shield" and a Beaver Blade Etch. These are the first Jigged Wood handled knives we've seen from Great Eastern and should prove interesting.
A number of years back I saw a Buck 110 that someone had checkered the handles in a pattern similar to that seen on a gunstock. The checkering looked great and served a logical purpose for someone in the field using the knife to clean a deer, etc. It'd be interesting to see GEC do something similar down the road possibly with the upcoming lockback.

Hey Greg, that will be interesting to see a 53 Furtaker with 'beaver etch'. I'm still pondering on a purchase or rent to own option during a field test.

Interesting, I wonder what sort of a patter will be used? A bone jig pattern or gun-style checkering.
