Some more interesting Great Eastern Knives on the way!!

Great Eastern is going to be releasing a rework of the Muskrat with a "Fur Taker" blade.  This will be GEC's version of a Hawbaker blade.  The first one's will be Tidoute Muskrats with a "Fur Taker" and Clip blade in an Acrylic and a Jigged Bone.  The second variation will be a 2 blade 53 Jack with the Northfield Shiel in Burnt Stag and another Yellow Rose.

Following that will be:

  • Northfield #12 Toothpick "Saber Grind" in Snakewood, Red Bone and Burnt Stag
  • Abalone Letter Openers
  • Northfield and Tidoute Genuine Left Hand Single Blade Knives
  • 89 Northfield Long Wharncliffe in Primitive Bone, Genuine Stag, Burnt Stag, 2 jigged Bones

I'm told the Abalone Letter Openers will be shipping before Christmas!

Greg, I like the sound of this Improved Muskrat a lot. Hope it might come in dead Skunk too. I'd even like to see the stainless Great Eastern version of this. Just right for the seasonal holiday I reckon!

I'm anxious to see it as well.  The real test will be when the 'muskrat' gets to check it out.  He's a big Muskrat fan and it's always interesting to get his input!

What's a saber grind supposed to look like on a toothpick blade? Are the blades even thick enough for that?

The new #89 Northfield is up on the "new release" page. Still a very nice looking knife.
