Saturday's drawing is just for the folks signing up to follow along on Twitter.

I'm still in a holding pattern on the new Congress blade configuration.  What I'd actually intended to do was give away one of the new Congress' with the new blade config's.

The reason I asked is because I'm really burnt out on technology right now. It just takes up too much time; between email and a few discussion sites I don't have any more time to spare. I've got a bunch of people wanting me to join facebook, and my wife wants me to have my own webpage.

I can't be the only one who's up to here with it all already.

      Totally understand.

The Twitter issue came up as a possible solution to a 'predicament'.  Every time a new "hot" knife comes out that sells out within hours, I get emails from folks asking how other people find out about the new items so quick.  The question constantly comes up asking why I don't send an email out to people that are interested in new items.  Can I just give them a phone call.  Will I hold a knife for them until they can take a look, etc, etc, etc.

A friend has used twitter and suggested I give it a try.  So far, it seems to be working fine.  I've been using it pretty sparingly and only when there's something to say.   It's simple,  very fast, you have to keep the message short (max of 140 characters) and on point, it's easy for folks to opt out if they don't want to follow.   If you're following someone you don't have to do anything other then read their message, delete it or quit following them.  (I'm really not encouraging anyone use it as a 'message board' but they're welcome to respond to my tweets.  I want the blog to be the main vehicle for 'intellectual' discussion!!)

This afternoon I put out a short message on some EDC's coming in next week.

" TSAKnives Coming Next week ~ EDC 23Linerlock Elk, EDC 73EC Snakewood, EDC 73 Blk Buffalo Bone(2007), SAVE 20-30% on the EDC's!!!"

In the time it would have taken to just log onto the blog, I had the message composed  and sent.  It's a huge time saver for me and it's actually a big time saver for the guys that don't have time to check in on the blog regularly.  When the knives come in, the tweeters will get a short heads up with a guestimate of when they'll be listed in the store and published on the blog.

But, like anything, I know what your talking about.  Time is a commodity we're all short on and it's a matter of using whatever works best!!  If enough people use it, like it and it does the job intended, I'll keep it up.  If I see folks drop out, I'll let it go!!

I don't carry cell phone hardly at all and my wife could get the message of "hot new knife" and she would just delete it anyway. As she thinks I'm good to go on collecting quality 'stuff'.

So I'm no twitter type, but GREG if you could just e-mail me when a NEW stag comes out that will be fine?!?! Good luck too all on twitter for a EDC drawing for toothpick.
