This has been a long time coming and I know more then a few of you had completely given up hope that I'd ever carry through on this drawing. BUT.... it's taken a LOOOoooong time to see a new blade config on the Congress' since it was first talked about.

The upside is that it's a great looking knife and the spear blade compliments the pen blade fantastically. The two wharncliffe's are a nice change from the original sheepsfoot blades. Plus, they end up giving the knife a slightly lower profile with the Wharncliffe's ... << MORE >>

Finally.... the new blade configurations have arrived. These are unique Congress' and there will not be anymore made after this initial run in Bocote, Smooth White Bone and Goldenrod. The first is the Bocote. These are finished with 2 Wharncliffe, a Pen and a Spear blade. Very nice combination!!

It's not a lot of info but here's what I can tell you. Around the first of April, Great Eastern will be shipping the first of the new #48 Dog Leg Trapper's. Here are the spec's:

• 3.875" OAL Closed
• Muskrat Style Clip Blade
• Long Slim Spey Blade

The Tidioute's will have smooth bolsters and end caps. The first Tidioute's will be available in an Acrylic, Jigged Bone, Bocote and a 2nd Cut Jigged Stag. The Northfield's will follow with plain end caps, lined bolsters and no doubt, Burnt Stag.

To start off, I got word that the first of the Congress' with 2 Wharcliffe, a spear and a pen blade is on the truck. There will be Bocote, Smooth White Bone and Smooth Goldenrod coming through. I have also been informed that these will be the the ONLY Congress' made with the Spear blade in them. PERIOD!!!  Evidently, it posed some problems so these will be it!

Nice looking stag!  I got 8 in sold 2 right away and will try to get pix posted of the knives left on hand. All of the stag has been great so in the meantime, if you place an order for one, I'll gladly send you pix of a couple before shipping them to you.


This is the Black Gold Perylic. I've never been a great fan of the Acrylic/Perylic materials, but I will admit it does make some great looking handle material.

They made 10 of these in Red Tortoise Shell with 7 of them numbered and 3 without. It's been a while since we've had the Bark River Bravo I in stock. Finally, the Black Canvas and Green Canvas Micarta's are available again.The Bravo I is an incredibly tough knife if your looking for a new field knife.

Just got the 53 Tango Furtaker back with the Eggs & Hot Sauce acrylic handles. Great looking handle material.

And the awaited #53 Tidioute Furtaker Trapper Beaver Tails are here. Hope they don't make a muskrat furtaker trapper beaver tail drop point end capped......  Starting to take up too much space to get the names on the title page!!!  May have to start abbreviating them as 53TFTBT's or some such thing!  ANYWAY.... nice looking knives. For you frustrated reloaders trying to find components, not much has changed. I spoke with Starline earlier this week and was told that this time of the year, they typically are looking at a bit of a slowdown going into Spring. HOWEVER, this year they are going full speed ahead and not gaining much ground on the backorders.

I recieved an order of the new 32 H&R Mag brass two days ago and am sold out already. The last order of 45LC brass was on backorder for 2 months and I'm waiting on more ... << MORE >>

There here.... again!  The 53 Trapper Furtaker's arrived and they look great. The Furtaker blade is a great combo to put together with a clip. The first one's are part of the "Tango" series in Burnt Sky Acrylic.

Now the biggie.... the all new #72 Mini-Lockback. There is so much to like about this knife I'm not sure where to start.

Funny thing happened the other day. Gotta share this with you all. I got a call that the Furtaker Jacks were on the truck, but I had to return them as soon as they arrived. Return them??????  Seems like there was a minor error that got caught after they went out the door. See it??  There's a free blade opener to the first eagle eye to catch it.

I stole a photo from the GEC website of the new lockback. So far, I'm liking it. I've always been a big fan of the 73's and this looks like a sure winner. There are Northfields in the works, but none on the schedule yet. I can assure you, they are coming. This first run will be approximately 100 knives with 50 serialized. My understanding is the upcoming Northfields will probably include some sort of leather lanyard loop.

Just placed an order for another unique GEC that's on it's way right now. It's a 538210 Tidioute "Tango" with Eggs and Hot Sauce panels. There will only be 30 of these run in a Jack configuration with Furtaker and Clip blades. ... << MORE >>

First out of the box was a pair of new Sleeveboards. The first is Antique Black Jigged Bone.

Next up was a 26 Sleeveboard Goldenrod Jigged Bone.

But the real prize showed up today in the form of a 73 Tidioute End Capped Left Hand Linerlock with some drop dead gorgeous Rosewood handles. They ran a total of just 15 of these without serial numbers and they are beauties!!

Haven't got all the details of what's on the FedEx truck but by the first of the week the flood gates will open up and there's gonna be lots of new additions from GEC. I do know there'll be some 26 Goldenrod Jigged Bone, unnumbered 54 Moose Burnt Sky, Cobblestone 54W and 26 Polar Ice.
